Will Work for Jimmy Choos

Haven’t been updating because all I do is work and play Rockband.

Last week I hit up Deseret Industries thrift store with Ging.  If you have one where you are, I highly recommend it!  With better merch and pricing than Goodwill, I went home with tons of goodies – a lightly studded and a zebra print belt, two adorbs tops, a knit pencil skirt (love! obsessed!), and the best… these Anne Michelle stiletto booties for $5.  Mine have a blue tone and are in excellent condition, and comfy.

What I did not find was the perfect little denim vest that I need to wear every day of camping this summer.  I also want a cropped denim jacket.  Seems like something that should be very easy to thrift, so I’ll be looking in the upcoming 2 weeks.  I plan to grunge them up and possibly stud them out.

In other news, a group of friends and I entered a photo contest a couple months back.  We didn’t even make honorable mention, but I think we should have:

No honorable mention? Are you serious? Pfft what do they know about fashion? lol. I think you should have too. You know how Seventeen magazine sometimes has that “Best dressed girls in America” spread? Well, most of the girls have awful fashion. Like I remember this one girl was picked, and she was wearing an outfit my grandma would wear. I was like “wtf, this isn’t cool or sexy”. Your style is better than any of those girls, imo.

You found those boots for $5? I’m so jealous. If only there was a Deseret Industries near me. All my money would be spent there.

I’ve been trying to find a nice pair of booties since last winter. Even finding them for $10 has me completely jealous right now. I need to get up on my thrifting skills because it seems that’s where the majority of my wardrobe is going to be coming from. I think you and your friend look fantastic <3 People know nothing about fashion sometimes.

Wow, finding a pair of boots for $5 is a real catch! :D I think Sweden should have a Deseret Industries ^^

Holy cats! Why don’t I have one of those stores near me?!

I’m jealous there isn’t one of those stores around here! I really love the boots! I need to go thrifting soon, but I never seem to find anything..I usually just go to the Salvation Army, do you have any those by you? There’s a lot of thrift stores around here but most of them are little and shitty, or they like to charge $15 for some ugly ass skirt from 1997 just because it’s bebe.

The fashion shoot pic on the left is my fave. My only guess for why they didn’t pick you guys is because the sign got cut off. Maybe they’re really anal about photos? Who knows..

We submitted one with the sign, one without, and one with it partially cut, because we weren’t sure if they would want the brand name (Jimmy Choo) in the shot or not. It would have rocked to win, but it’s also nice to retain rights to our photos.

Those are sweet booties. I’d love to find something like that for fall. Keith has recently introduced me to the wonderful world of thrifting so I’ll have to be on the lookout.
