Loving my TracFone (Really!)
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TracFone. All opinions are 100% mine.
This is a sponsored post, but a true story, as I really did just purchase a TracFone and am one of many real TracFone customers.
When times are tough, the cell phones are usually the first thing to go. Typically they get turned back on a week later when some work pops up, but that wasn’t the case this month and I was really uncomfortable going camping without a phone. Year before last we had car trouble on the drive in the middle of nowhere. I couldn’t risk something like that happening without a phone! One of my besties uses a pay as you go phone so I asked her advice, and we ventured to our local Walmart to browse their phone selection.
I was surprised at the phone options available for real TracFone customers. My friend has Internet on her phone, and TracFone offers popular phones such as Motorola, Nokia and Samsung. Mine is an LG, and the phone plus 750 minutes cost me a whopping $40. They haveĀ so many features and even offer unlimited talk & text plans. There are several packages and price points to choose from, some of which rollover and others that are cheaper and have an expiration date.
TracFone is great for families when money is tight and could even be used to keep track of kids out and about during the summer. I definitely recommend them if you are looking to downsize or just need a phone temporarily or without a credit check.

Calls and texts are cheap here so I’ve never felt the need for a post-paid plan. Been pre-paid since my second mobile phone!
I do want to get the unlimited 3G plan, tho, but my service provider has crappy 3G service so it’s just a waste of money.
With all the ups and downs in my families budget it’s great to have the cheapest family plan on the market to my knowledge, Tracfone’s family value plan. $27.96/month in total for my family of 4.
I receive 50 minutes/$9.99 and the rest of the family gets 40 minutes/month/$5.99.
Or if you’re on a shoestring budget just get a $9.99 Tracfone candy bar phone and you only pay $6.66 for service per month. Everyone can now afford an emergency phone.
If you don’t need a fancy phone and just want to talk and text a bit, there is no better value than Tracfone. It’s also a perfect starter phone for kids. Old people too who just need to keep in touch or for emergencies.
