Things I Want Now

I have been on the hunt for the perfect sandals that are both trendy/stylish and comfy (read: pregnant feet friendly). These “Marcinstocks” Marc by Marc Jacobs clog sandals are from last year and I feel they’d be the perfect go-with-anything summer shoe. My self esteem can only withstand so many wears of Old Navy flip-flops.
Obviously I don’t need this yet, but I’m planning to purchase one of these Pretty Pushers gowns for my labor in September! The disposable frocks take the place of a hospital gown and have openings for epidurals and IVs should you need/choose to have them. The dresses are themed for taboo indulgences – I Dream of Sushi, I Dream of Coffee or I Dream of Mai Tais. (Cute concept, but I’ve been enjoying all but the latter throughout this pregnancy.) Despite being disposable, these gowns are actually an environmentally friendly choice – read more about Pretty Pushers for Mamas-to-Be on the Fashionable Bambino.
Turquoise jewelry is big on my radar right now, especially ‘statement necklaces’. I also love chain necklaces the most out of any jewelry so this piece (Etsy) is the one I really want. Possibly the most beautiful piece of jewelry I’ve ever seen, and I need to buy it NOW before I have a baby trying to tug at it.
I WILL have a steam mop soon! My eyes are on a Shark steam mop – My friend purchased one recently for her spring cleaning & is in love with it. I fall for it myself every time I see the infomercial and I fondled one in person at Best Buy. I also want/need the Shark Portable Steam Cleaner
. I need to de-wrinkle my clothes and steam clean my furniture.

We don’t have much for Baby yet other than some secondhand clothes and blankets. For our first big purchase I want the Arm’s Reach Original Co-Sleeper. I plan on bedsharing in some form and this bassinet converts into a play yard as well. Perfect for our apartment. I love the toffee color and that the company offers organic crib bedding.
And lastly, I want sunny days! I’m hoping for a natural tan and I can’t wait to work, read, and lounge with my dog on our patio. I only want to wear tube top dresses from now until September.

Those shoes are cute! I was at Target yesterday and saw a pair that are similar- Birkenstock bottom with jewels. Only $11.24 too. I dunno if you are interested but here’s the link: http://www.target.com/Mossimo-Supply-Walker-Embellished-Sandals/dp/B002PAECQ6/ref=br_1_2?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1&qid=1275608028&searchView=grid5&sr=1-2&node=2336121011&searchRank=pmrank&searchPage=7&searchSize=30&id=Mossimo%20Supply%20Walker%20Embellished%20Sandals&searchBinNameList=purchasing_channel%2Ctarget_com_shoe_size-bin%2Ctarget_com_primary_color-bin%2Ctarget_com_category-bin%2Cprice%2Ctarget_com_brand-bin
And that necklace is awesome. I love Etsy.
Uh YEAH I may have to go buy those! Wish it would getting fucking sunny around here already – It’s effing June.
I love everything especially those sandals. Can you believe that a couple years ago, I brought my very first pair of Old Navy flip flops!! Finally! Lol.. I’ve been wearing Garage ones the last couple of years and although they are cuter, I think the Old Navy ones are more durable.
Old Navy flip-flops ARE durable – I used to clean mine with soft scrub bleach and they last forever. Girls-women wear them here year round though so I can’t help but associate them with tackiness & trashiness. I hate flip-flops in cold/wet weather the way you hate leggings worn as pants.
I no longer wear flipflops I no longer wear flipflops I no longer flipflops! That’s an achievement for me because I wore close to nothing but flipflops some years ago hrhrhrhr.
And why the heck can’t pregnant women eat sushi or drink coffee?!
I like flip-flops (on women) if it’s sunny & DRY ~and~ if they have attractive and kept up feet! I like flip-flops on men if they are 20 feet or less from a body of water – exceptions are very rare.
Many pregnant here won’t eat raw fish (or rare meat, or even cabbage and other produce) because they are afraid of foodbourne illness. As far as I’m concerned, fresh and raw food is the best thing I can do for my baby, and I’d rather “take my chances” *eye roll* on raw fish than eat something processed, especially living in a coastal state. Caffeine is a popular concern as well but not something that I worry about.
I want sunny days, too! I have strawberries that are big and green, and I need some sunshine for them to ripen. It’s June for Pete’s sake, enough with the gray and dreary.
I love the pretty pushers gown!! super soft and comfy
