Things I Love Thursday
Someday I will go back through all of these Things I Love Thursdays, clean up the permalinks and add neat little numbers to them. Someday.
This Thursday I am loving…
♥ Getting shredded! I have done 8 days of Jillian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred so far and I am stoked on it. Honestly, I figured I would get through four days max, but I’m sticking with it and I feel a night and day difference. My energy and confidence are way up, even in ways that have nothing to do with my body or strength. I feel more like myself. I’m working to get my daily calories down as well and planning to try some diuretics. Most of my old tricks (cleanses) aren’t breastfeeding compatible unfortunately. I have been drinking kombucha, lots of water and fresh-squeezed juices when I can.
♥ The Dollar Store. We have the Dollar Tree over here and they have everything. I am planning Sebastian’s birthday party at a fraction of what I would spend at Party City or similar stores. They have tons of licensed Sesame Street stuff (We bought Seb a helium Elmo balloon today), E.L.F. makeup and fake lashes, cute headbands, and lots more. Today I bought a copy of Lipstick Jungle (Don’t judge! I need something to read while breastfeeding) for $1 because the printing was off and the pages are slightly crooked. I have also been buying felt for the soft book I’m making for Sebastian. They have tons of craft supplies and they are so much cheaper than Joannes/Michaels/Craft Warehouse.
♥ JanineFowler.com. I just bought this domain to be my online portfolio and I am feeling so reinvigorated and recharged about work.

♥ These mint green baby moccasins! Our neighbor made them for Sebastian and they are so soft and adorable. I’ll be planning his birthday outfit around these shoes. He knows what shoes are now and tries to put them on his own feet.
♥ Two FuzziBunz Perfect Size cloth diapers for $4 each. That is the great deal we got at the local kids consignment store this week. Although secondhand, they feel softer and newer than anything in our current stash. So glad the shop neglected to do their research when they were pricing!
♥ My baby can walk! He has been taking a few prompted steps for awhile but as of yesterday he is walking around independently. It is really crazy to see and I now understand why people make such a BIG DEAL about this milestone.

This week Sebastian is loving…
♥ Walking! (The road rash on his nose is from trying to take STEPS down the stairs.) ♥ Balloons! We have a few blown up around the apartment and just bought a helium one. Planning for tons at his birthday party. Whenever we go into a store that has balloons (which is every store, if you were wondering) he gets excited and reaches for them. He is also really into balls. We roll and toss balloons and balls back and forth a lot. ♥ Corn on the cob. ♥ Strollin’ around the neighborhood. When he wants to go for a walk he waves “bye-bye” to me and points at his stroller.

What are you and your family loving this week?

we have been playing in the rain!
Seems like it’s been a good week for you!
I read Lipstick Jungle AND LOVED THE SERIES, so no judgment from me over here.
And yay for walking baby! Congratulations? Congratulations!
I think it’s funny that Victory Ford is so young on the show but in her 40′s in the book! It is the first thing I’ve read by Candace Bushnell; I haven’t decided how I feel about her writing yet.
