My Latest BTR Purchase
I’d been mulling over what to use my Beyond the Rack shopping credit on and today I took the plunge and ordered these Black Suede House of Dereon Boots. They were $75 marked down to $39 and my credit covered everything except for shipping. I say that I took the plunge with this purchase because there are literally dozens of new sales on the site every few days and I’m always afraid I’m going to miss something great!
These boots were easy to justify buying – I need something warm, comfy and sexy to wear while I’m walking the pup or just generally tromping about town. The stud detailing caught my eye and I can’t wait for these to arrive!

Things I Want Now
I saw this Triple Star Ring by Maison Martin Margiela on Nylon Blogs. At $275, I’m sure I will never actually own it, but perhaps someone will put something similar up on Etsy?
These Modern Tribal Hoops by Urban Outfitters are kind of perfection. Going perfectly with my turquoise obsession, they also feature my other fave jewelry embellishment – studs!
Bronde hair… Maybe? Style List has renamed what I usually refer to as “honey” and I may need to pick up a box (I always do my own color) and rock a lighter shade for summer. With the red still in my hair it’d probably come out strawberry blond just in time for the 4th of July. Thoughts?
I may have to invest in the TOMS Calypso Wedge. I mentioned these shoes before but wasn’t sure about actually buying them… until I saw the wedges styled by Clutch 22. Oh. My. Goodness. The little triangles elongate the leg and the nautical color and stripes remind me of Amy Winehouse (but in a good way).
Between baby plans and blog ideas, I really need a new day planner/organizer, and I’m lusting after a Filofax – love the Siena Personal Organizer in Cinnamon and the Metropol Personal Organizer in Amber.
A personal organizer will tuck nicely into my Matt & Nat diaper bag, which I’m still excitedly waiting for.
Monday’s Thrift Finds
I hadn’t been thrift shopping in what seemed like forever, so I was excited to shop a bit when we dropped off some donations at Goodwill on Monday. I made off with this pair of brand new gold wedge sandals, a small silver chain necklace and this silky scarf in perfect summer colors. The small haul was under $20. A year or two ago it would have been under $10 but Goodwill is implementing some major inflation. (I was actually at Value Village today and they seem to be doing the same, le sigh.) Worn together, I find the items above to be the perfect mix of warm weather glam and nautical styles.
