Sunday Link Love

Apr 04, 2010 4:30 AM / 4 Comments

I skipped last Sunday so there are several great links this week. I’m always working to discover new great blogs, so hopefully each week will be a bit more packed with links to fabulous reads. If you know of an awesome blog, leave the address in the comments.

Despising life is so passe: Spring cleaning: detox your space Quick tips and inspiration for weeding through your space, specifically your closet. I love that this guide is motivating without being at all overwhelming.

Retro Chick: How Vanity Sizing is Killing You This is a must-read!

“It’s easy to blame magazines and media for showing unrealistic images of super skinny celebrities and making “normal” women feel bad. But maybe they should be feeling bad if normal =  unhealthy.”

Smile and Wave: DIY: Onesie to Dress Tutorial An easy sewing project for recycling baby onesies.

Nylon Blogs What Would Claudia Wear? Excerpts from The Babysitters Club series detailing Claudia Kishi’s fashion choices. Also see the review of the brand new BSC prequel, which points out,

“Would we have had the Sex and the City foursome, who worried about friendship and men, if we didn’t have the original book foursome worrying about friendship and kids?”

Exploits of a Military Mama: How to be a crunchy mama: Food Edition Reasons, instructions and tips for making your own baby food.  $25 for 100 servings versus $2.50-5.00 per jar and can be frozen up to three months!

Awakened Aesthetic: How to Be Unethical – and  Still Eco-Conscious This is a simple post but makes a great point and gives you permission to live (and shop) moving forward without guilt.

    Love the new design!

I really like the article on vanity sizing. I love that you and I share the same opinion on it. There’s nothing wrong with being naturally big so long as you are healthy. There is something wrong with promoting the idea that being overweight is healthy though.

I also liked the Vanity Sizing article. I hate when I’m trying on clothes and a size 5 will be too big but in another brand a size 7 will be way too small. I’ve def been wanting to buy a tape measure. It sucks that I’ve been so yo-yo with my weight – I’m like the celebrities who loose and gain weight for movie roles lol. I know it’s not healthy…

I think link roundup posts are my fave. :)

So, the baby is pointing at the coffee? Is that why he’s so wide-eyed? I know, I’m a dork.

Hrhrhrhr you have a widdle AZN bibi in your header!

And lol, What Would Claudia Wear?. The BSC was my favorite series growing up and I’d love to see an updated series AND movie.

Oooh, thanks for featuring my post on vanity sizing, glad you liked it!

There’s some other great links there, I shall check them out.
