Alternative Housewife

J

I'm Janine, wife to Donny and mama to Sebastian (age 18 months). We live (with our annoying dog) in a simple, cozy apartment in Portland, Oregon, where we are working on building our home and our lives with style. I believe in buying secondhand, in basic and natural products, and in living fabulously on any budget. More about us.

“If you’re considering getting an animal, PLEASE give serious thought to adopting one from a shelter. When you take on a dog which has been abused or neglected, you’re giving it a life it would never be able to have without you. These animals need our compassion & love more than you could imagine!”

When Chris and I are together and ready to get a family dog, I am HOPING LIKE ANYTHING that we can find a Welsh Corgi to rescue. Seems unlikely, I think? =/ Our family cats are probably going to come from shelters <3
