Paris Hilton’s Micro Pig

For the last few weeks I’ve been obsessed with micro pigs.  I stumbled upon the British trend, and have since been fantasizing about how a piglet would interact with my pup, and wondering if any Portland apartments would allow me to keep a pot-bellied pig.

I did some research on where to purchase teacup pigs in the United States.  It turns out Paris Hilton was conducting a very similar search – She landed at the same breeder I found right here Oregon!

Of course PETA is upset about Hilton’s purchase.  This makes little sense to me, as pet pigs seem like they would deter people from eating meat.  (One of my primary concerns, aside from cost of $4500 per piggie, was feeling guilty for my pork.)  Hilton’s pig, Princess Piglette, will arrive at the heiress’s home in 4-5 weeks.

PETA harshly said Paris treats her pets (she’s had chihuahuas, ferrets, and kinkajous) “as disposable as her friends and fiances.”

According to the research I did, micro pigs are as proportionate (not dwarfs) and healthy as full-size pot-bellies, and can actually be more agile due to their smaller size.  Pigs are adaptable and said to be as smart and trainable as a pet dog, and very clean.  In my opinion, accusing Paris of being an unfit pet owner is absurd – Even if she were short on time to take care of an animal, she has a lot more staff and resources to care for a pet than most of us non-celebs.

The breeder Paris is buying from in Oregon sells a tiny pig breed called Royal Dandies.

Aw they’re sooo cute. I’ve always wanted a piglet too that stays small.

Peta is effing ridiculous… I don’t know who still listens to them. I bet Paris’ pets get better treatment than most people in the world anyway.
