Monday’s Thrift Finds
I hadn’t been thrift shopping in what seemed like forever, so I was excited to shop a bit when we dropped off some donations at Goodwill on Monday. I made off with this pair of brand new gold wedge sandals, a small silver chain necklace and this silky scarf in perfect summer colors. The small haul was under $20. A year or two ago it would have been under $10 but Goodwill is implementing some major inflation. (I was actually at Value Village today and they seem to be doing the same, le sigh.) Worn together, I find the items above to be the perfect mix of warm weather glam and nautical styles.

It has been too long since I’ve had a rewarding day of thrifting.
Oooh they go together perfectly. I haven’t been thrift shopping in awhile actually. I guess it’s because I like to make it an all day thing and go to like 5 different stores.
I JUST WENT THRIFTING LAST SUNDAY (got 4 tops, an ugly knitted sweater, a cardigan with swans lol, and flats). Haha, all caps, such excitement. Got a bit bothered cos the shop miscalculated my purchases and overcharged me by 60 pesos (1USD = PHP45; I didn’t know ’til I got home and added up everything). Oh well, I spent a little less than I would on a pair of brand new wedges, so it’s all right.
Weather here is weird, it’s been raining during the afternoons but it still gets really warm during the day; I think I jinxed the rainy season when I raved about it on my blog.
