Look of the Day Thanksgiving 2010
It’s cold out and I’m usually hibernating in yoga pants but today was Thanksgiving and I’m really loving any excuse to put on street clothes. Dinner faves included Donny’s stuffing with sausage & semi-homemade gravy, cranberry sauce, and squash from my mother’s garden. Sebastian of course had ‘milkies’ (breastmilk). Thursday marked 9 weeks old for him/postpartum for me.

I wore stretch skinny jeans I bought during my pregnancy, Dollhouse boots, a top by Mossimo (thanks, Brittanie!) and Aeropostale denim jacket (secondhand via Plato’s Closet). I later changed into Donny’s Levi’s cardigan as it was much more comfortable to lounge around my parents’ house in.

I’m growing out my hair and dying to wear messy high buns soon. I am also planning to dye my hair dark red in the near future. I’ve been doing some major sorting through my closet lately and am really excited about clothing right now. One of the items I am hoping hard for this holiday season is thick socks! Perfect under boots and over leggings. I’m also really enjoying dressing Baby Bastian, who is growing nicely into more clothes.

This was Sebastian’s first Thanksgiving. He wore a light green Baby Gap onesie (thrifted, not pictured), a thrifted cardigan, brown pants by Carter’s and Robeez booties. Most of my favorite pieces for Zeb are thrifted – My mom, sister and I did lots of thrift shopping for him while I was pregnant. This cardigan is missing a couple of buttons but is still one of his finest pieces of clothing in my opinion. I tend to prefer more “grown up” styles to the typical cutesy baby clothes, although his brown pants do have a monkey face on the butt.

You look so cute!! I love the look with the jacket and cardigan because you look put together but totally comfy.
Sebastian is the most adorable thing ever. Once he gets older, we are so going to introduce him to my new niece.
Haha every time I see a dark-haired girl with a messy high bun it reminds me of you. Don’t even know why, but for some reason that just happens every time
I’ve been on&off from the blog scene for the past year or so, so I haven’t been following enough – did you put on weight during the pregnancy, and if so, do you find it hard to get rid of it? Although having kids is nowhere in the near future for me, that’s something I’ve always been worried about – babyweight! You look gorgeous though, so I guess you didn’t have any big changes regarding weight? I love the top!
Um, I gained around 40 pounds and had lost around 10 pounds when I got home from the hospital. The rest I’m still working on. I didn’t start officially watching calories until literally yesterday. I’m hoping with breastfeeding the weight will just drop off.
you look too cute! and OMG your son is BEAUTIFUL! he looks like a little doll!!!
You look great! I love the length of your hair right now too, it’s hott!
