What We Wore: May 18, 2011

Scarf: Thrifted
Striped tank: Glamourmom
White v-neck: Husband’s Hanes
Jeans: Ann Taylor
Shoes: TOMS
I was hoping for a DIY scarf vest like this but I didn’t want to cut up any of my larger scarves. I guess it’s time to start stocking up on more fabrics. I realize that I wear my TOMS a lot – They are just really cute & comfortable to walk in, but we are slowly transitioning into sandal weather. Now I just need a pedicure.
During the day Sebastian and I walked a few blocks to the coffee shop and later the whole family went for a walk to a small nearby park. I am really starting to enjoy living in downtown Gresham – It is just a very short walk to some great consignment shops, coffee, and several good restaurants.

Sebastian is wearing a hand-me-down dinosaur romper that I love. My husband took these photos after we all returned home from a walk and Zeb was in a super good mood as you can see. He will be 8 months old on Monday.

LOTD First Day of Sunshine

Left:
On Mama: Thrifted Levis 518′s, Old Navy tank, TOMS shoes
On Sebastian: Hanna Anderson onesie, Tokyo Baby Monkeypants
Rockin’ Baby Sling pouch baby carrier
Right:
Aeropostale jean jacket, Old Navy maxi dress, TOMS shoes
Friday was the first real day of sunshine this spring and Sebastian loved it – I think he’s going to be a sun bug like his mama! We walked around the apartment complex with him in the Rockin’ Baby Sling pouch. It is supposed to pull over my shoulder but for short distances it’s comfortable just thrown across my neck. We are getting the hang of this babywearing business and I’m looking forward to carrying him around town this spring/summer. One of my big goals in the upcoming season is to eat and shop more local places and less chains.
Today was just warm enough to pull out this maxi dress. I wore it during my pregnancy and it’s so comfy. The little motion blur in the photo is the dog Rufio – He just has to get into all of my outfit photos.
My outfits here are pretty boring but it’s certainly a step up from the yoga pants I was living in for most of the fall and winter. I really want some skinny/straight-legged jeans but am having trouble finding denim that fits right. Oh, mama body changes!
Happy spring, y’all!

What We Wore April 1, 2011

Trying to get in the habit of more outfit posts! For our anniversary on Friday we took the baby out for sushi (photos here!) on the other side of town. I cut and frayed the bottoms of my maternity shorts as the baby weight is still slowly coming off, shoes are TOMS and my striped cardigan is some cheap brand. I wish I had a fat brooch for the cardigan. Baby is wearing his striped Babylegs and skating julius tee by Paul Frank. I was randomly sent some Paul Frank stuff to review this week and will be posting on that later – I am currently blogging this wearing a Paul Frank hooded robe and just added a PF and a Skullcandy sticker to my laptop.
Sebastian’s tee is size 12 months but it fits perfectly.
If I can get down to a size 6 (or so) and keep my boobs this size, I will breastfeed this child until he goes to middle school.

He’s been fighting naps and sleep in general this weekend but you really can’t be mad when you get THIS face at 2am.
Look of the Day March 8, 2011

Today we toted the tot across town to visit my husband’s dad, see some family friends (their first time seeing the baby – I love showing him off!) and eat some sushi. Sebastian tried some kiwi at lunch and we timed our car time and visits so that he slept for the ride and was all smiles meeting new people – Win!
Here’s what we wore:
On me: Old Navy bomber jacket, Alternative Apparel tank, thrifted floral skirt, Dollhouse boots. On Sebastian: Thrifted plaid button-up, Barley and Birch tank, thrifted pants (with little helicopters) and socks.
This skirt originally fit around my hips but I thought it would look better higher and I was right. I couldn’t find a safety pin so I ended up literally sewing myself into the skirt before heading out the door. I want a lot more skirts like this, although I think a shorter length would be more flattering.

And my makeup look for the day. I’m wearing Jordana eyeliner, CoverGirl Lash Blast Fusion mascara, Orglamix foundation in Cocobolo and Orglamix eye shadow in Ambre. There has been some drama surrounding Orglamix cosmetics but I have to say I really love the products. Brows are filled in using a palette from Me by Mezhgan.
The above image pretty much sums up my life this week.
