American Apparel Sale
The second week of May a friend and I attended an American Apparel Rummage Sale at the Portland Convention Center. Boy was it disappointing. I heard it cleared out in the afternoon hours but just the checkout line that morning was an hour long. And there was hardly anything worth buying, definitely nothing worth standing in line hours for. The cute stuff was riddled with faulty stitching and stains (something I was tipped off to look for beforehand, thankfully) and the prices were cheap but not that cheap. Not “rummage” cheap. The worst part was the music so loud that I literally had trouble forming coherent thoughts in my head, let alone dictating them out loud. NOT the clear & cool mindset I need to be in for a morning of thrifting.

You may have to wait for shipping but trust me, it beats waiting in line with a crowd of smelly girls and loud techno beats. (Seriously, American Apparel, that sale was the worst thing ever.)
