Yes to Lip Tints & Glosses

Looking for the perfect kissable lip glosses for spring?  Look no further than the new line of Yes to Carrots Lip Tints and Glosses.  In fun, light shades perfect for catching the sunlight, this line is ideal for feeling hot and mackable on your summer fling.

Yes to Carrots Lippy

The most important factor for me when it comes to lip products is by far taste.  It doesn’t matter how fabulous a color is if it turns my stomach every time I lick my lips.  Yes to Carrots lippys have a subtle, pleasant taste with nothing sticky, just a light minty tingle. They are also 95% organic, and free of four unhealthy P’s – No Parabens, Phenols, Petroleum, or Phthalates.

Of the six C Me Blush Lip Tints, my favorite is the trendy Coral Sunshine.  Right on point, as coral is a huge shade for Spring ’09, the color is  fresh and comes in an easy skinny tube.  The range of subtle shades are wearable for all skintones, although the colors could be bolder, the only complaint I have about the line.

Of the available C Me Shine Lip Glosses, I’m loving the Flirty Pink.  Although I’m not usually a fan of light pinks, this shade is true to its name with a slight sparkle that is fun but not teenybop, helping you feel pretty but still grown up.  My other fave shade, Cocoa Loco, is perfect for feeling polished and put-together as you run out the door, and a slight mint taste and tingling sensation cools your mouth like a breath mint for your lips.

The best part of Yes to Carrots’ Lip Tints and Lip Glosses, what sets them apart from other drug store lippys in my opinion, is the suberb moisturization.  Following some over-zealous exfoliation, my lips were a wreck the first time I sampled these lip products, but after a few hours of wear they felt smooth and good as new.  The certified all-natural tints and glosses will improve the quality of your kisser whether rocked alone or paired with Yes to Carrots C Me Smile organic Lip Butters.

Yes to Carrots Lip Glosses ($6.49) and Lip Tints ($4.49) are available from your local Walgreens store.

Yu-Be Moisturizer, Skin Polish and tabi Socks

As it blossoms into Spring here, I’ve been using Yu-Be skincare products to ready myself for shorts, sandals, and sunbathing.  The company brings traditional skincare techniques – polish and lotions inspired by Japanese baths and routines – via California at affordable prices.

Yu-Be Value PackThe Yu-Be Foaming Skin Polish is one of the best products I have ever used.  A body and face scrub in one, it’s a convenient yet luxurious cleanser, and one that is now a staple in my shower.  Even my products-phobic boyfriend is obsessed with it.

“Fine grains of rice bran combine with bamboo and gentle cleansing agents to create a luxuriously foaming scrub that washes away dry skin. Extracts of ginger root and ginseng tone and balance the skin, while green tea, geranium oil and camphor provide a soothing, refreshing sensation.”

While not as stand-out as the skin polish, I also enjoyed Yu-Be Moisturizing Cream.  The camphor scent is not strong (I actually find it pleasant) and “soothes irritation and stimulates blood circulation to improve overall health of your skin”.  The cream contains no artificial color or scent, and the all-natural ingredients make it OK for body, face, and even lips, as well as for children.

The tabi Socks (pronounced Toby) offered by Yu-Be are the perfect companion to these products for those who want to feel pampered and a bit exotic.  The split-toe design makes these snugly comfortable, and does away with the slimy feeling that sometimes happens when you slip lotion-slathered feet into regular socks.  They come as one-size-fits-all and they do shrink, so wash normally if you have smaller feet, or handwash and dry to prevent shrinking.

Yu-Be’s line makes a great gift for those who love simple, natural ingredients, and their multi-tasking products are recession-friendly.  From the Yu-Be website, a few bucks shipping cost will get you free samples of their products before you buy.
